Open Studios Time again!
Where has the year gone! It’s time for my annual open studios and this year I will be having a big SALE! I’m also only opening for one weekend so I hope you can make it! My assistant Jayne is showing her ceramic work and Bek Genery will be exhibiting her beautiful rough luxe jewellery. Our neighbours, Artworks, will also be holding their open studios at the same time on Green’s Road. Free parking for customers outside my studio. We will be open Saturday 7th July and Sunday 8th July 11-6pm.
I’ve been working on some new pieces and there will be a selection of new work including decorated vessels, small creamers, and teapots! We are now taking bookings for the summer and autumn classes but the evening classes are filling up quickly so please contact me if you would like to join us next term.
I’m delighted to be offering some masterclasses this autumn including throwing with porcelain and a new decorating with decals course for people wishing to design their own transfers and print onto ceramic surfaces. New beginner workshops are: throwing days for beginners and decorating with colour (exploring slips). Come and visit us for open studios and see the studio to find out more! Please take a look at the ‘courses’ page for more details!
For those of you further afield I am pleased to announce new stockists in Lancaster, Hampstead, Tunbridge Wells, as well as lots of exhibitions around the country over the next few months. Also it’s been photoshoots aplenty recently thanks to my lovely online shops, www.madebyhandonline.com and www.notonthehighstreet.com so look out for my work in Country Living and Ideal Home.
Well, my teapots are ready for their handles to be stuck on now and the kiln is cooling down with table decorations for summer weddings. The studio will be on part time opening after open studios until the end of July but August courses are all running so book now to join in the fun!
