Beautiful handmade contemporary porcelain tableware

I’ve got the keys to my pop up shop and this weekend I have been painting and cleaning. I am sharing with a group of artists to have a temporary gallery and it opens on Saturday 5th December at Burwash Manor Barns in Cambridgeshire. We are open evey day 10-5 until Christmas eve so come and say hello if you are passing. I’ll put some pictures up on my potteryrachel blog so you can see what we are doing.
I’m launching my new collection this week too with new colours and some new shapes, and I’m going to make it easier for those of you who want to buy online direct from me by listing the whole range on Mydeco and Bouf, until I get my own storefront online.

I’m just taking a break from packing the car ready to go to Lustre at the Djanogly Centre, Lakeside, Nottingham. It’s a lovely show and I am looking forward to it. It is also my last direct selling show this year- and the last chance to buy from the current ‘nest’ collection.

I’ve just got back from a busy weekend at the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair in Manchester and I’m off to Lustre in Nottingham the weekend after next – these are my only two selling shows and also the last opportunity to buy work from the current collection.

I have just made the first batch of my new collection which will be launched at Maison et Objet in January- images to come soon ready for pre- orders!
I have simplified the range list and am concentrating on a few key pieces, simply made and glazed in a range of toning blues, greys and creams, with large accent pieces in a dark stoneware. Contact me if you want to be one of the first to see the range list and images as soon as they are ready!

The car is all packed now for an early start- I’m exhibiting at the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair in Spinningfields in Manchester Thursday to Sunday this week and I will be at Lustre in Nottingham from 6-8th November. These are my only two selling shows so come and say hello if you are nearby! After that I will be getting ready for the pop up shop in December and I will put the dates up that I will be in the shop- although it will be open everyday.
I’m now taking orders for delivery week beginning 9th November, print off an order form or email me!

This is my favourite time of year, not just because of the colour of the leaves on the trees and the glorious end of summer, but because I can forget all about housework in favour of working late nights in the studio to get everything done!
If you are waiting for an order you’ll be glad to know that all shipments are due for delivery in the next few days-phew! I’m now making stock for the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair in Manchester and for Lustre in Nottingham.

Also next week is the launch of the collection with Marguerite Dorger at the Tabletop Market in New York at 41 Madison, which I’m very excited about. As if that wasn’t enough- I’ve just signed the lease on a shop for December only at Burwash Manor Barns, please see the diary and stockists pages for more information. Back to work now!

It’s all hands on deck on the studio, September is always busy, getting everything made and into the shops and galleries on time. I am just getting things ready for 100%Design which is just over a week away. I am also thrilled to have been awarded a business development bursary through the Enterprise Fellowship Scheme in the West Midlands.

Also, I am pleased to be working with Marguerite Dorger, who will be representing my work as the US distributor. Marguerite will be showcasing the collection at the Tabletop Market in New York October 13-16th, please contact me if you would like to know more.
For the next few months solidly I will be making pots, sticking on handles and drilling the holes in colanders!

Well I’m back from a tiring but very busy trip to New York, and tomorrow I will start making all the orders and all the pieces for 100%Design.
I had a fantastic response in New York and met some great new stockists and a distributor- more updates as soon as things are confirmed.

I’m just about to head off to the New York International Gift fair and any orders placed now will be made on 24th August.
