My stand number is 231a so if you are visiting the show please do come and say hello. I am launching a new range of greetings cards, a new printed range of ceramics and some lovely new pieces including batter bowls, teacups and small milk jugs. All new products will be listed on my online shops after the show so keep checking back!

I will be exhibiting in Brighton during May at the House of Newts for Brighton Open Houses and I will be having a summer open studios from my workshop in Cambridge July 7th & 8th 11-6.

Evening classes start again w/c 23rd April and the next few courses at the studio are:

Earring making workshop 28th April 10-4pm £70 plus a small cost for the silver used at cost. (with Bek Genery)

I’ve been busy working away in the studio to bring you new things, they will be available to buy soon from my online shops and until then you can order my current stock at last year’s prices. For those forward thinking stylists out there, Christmas products are in stock and ready for photoshoots!

My next show will be the British Craft Trade Fair in Harrogate at the Great Yorkshire Showground, April 15-17th on stand 231a. My dear friend Bek Genery will be exhibiting her jewellery too so if you are planning to visit the show please come and say hello! If everything goes to plan there will be greetings cards, textiles and my new collection of ceramics!

In May I will be exhibiting in Brighton at the House of Newts as part of Brighton Open Houses, it was such a lovely experience last year and I’m so pleased to be invited back. In July I will be having an Open Studio here in Cambridge but for one weekend only- 7/8th July 11-6

What a busy few months and what glorious weather! This year doesn’t seem to have had any quiet spots (thank you!!!!) and after a busy summer we are full on making pots in the studio, it’s time to introduce my lovely assistant Jayne who has been learning to throw, recycling clay, making handles and slip casting our new collection! (and making delicious cakes…) Thankyou to everyone who came to our Macmillan coffee morning (Jayne’s idea!) we raised over £80 thanks to everyone that came along for coffee, cakes and pots. I managed a sneaky few days holiday in October and went to Delft and to Amsterdam to refuel my energy by looking at lovely things…ideas are brewing….

New courses for January are listed on the courses page now for those of you, like me, that like to keep busy and the new collection is coming together very nicely and will be launched in January.

My new online shop is now live www.notonthehighstreet.com.racheldormorceramicsI’m also delighted that my alphabet candle votives have been one of Not on the High Street.com’s best sellers since my online shop launched. Also, thanks to my other online shop, madebyhandonline.com I’m very busy making gifts for Christmas Hampers for a very special customer!

My studio will be open Saturday and Sunday November 26/27th and December 3/4th 11-5 so please do call in and stock up on pots. There is also gorgeous jewellery by Bek Genery and decorations made by the Cyrenians Homeless peoples pottery project that I am proud to be working with. Well the winds of change are blowing through the studio! It’s been boiling in the workshop with the kilns on this summer and it will certainly be cosy over the winter… I’ve been busy making samples of my new collection and filling orders for a host of lovely new stockists and my special regular customers.

This season’s collection is all about the kitchen, with large vases and utensil holders, and small useful items like graters, egg separators and butter dishes. I can’t wait to be picking flowers from my garden again! I’m just product testing a new oven to tableware collection and having some material printed, everything should be ready for the Country Living Spring fair in March! For my trade customers, there will be new products on display at Maison et Objet this month in Paris, hall 8 with the BEDG stand I1-J2.
